If you have a big project with many translators working on it or if your company is constantly getting its materials translated, you should always create and update a terminology database and a style sheet so your translations are consistent across all your materials but also so their quality is constantly increasing by accumulating the know-how of all the translators working for you.

This is also an excellent way to reduce costs, due to a proper, faster and more consistent translation in the first place.

Adding a language becomes easy as you just need to get your English terminology translated into the added language, verified and approved, so that you don’t have to go back and forth with different translations and end up with non consistent materials.

As needed, I can build up a terminology database in English (and French) using previous translations done for your company or build up one from scratch, so that you can provide this data to any translator or agency which will work for you in the future.
